Oregon has authorized 28 different types of districts, water control being one of them. Like the many Special Districts, Burlington Water District is funded by our community’s residents through property taxes, fees for services or a combination thereof. We provide new or enhanced local services and infrastructure for the delivery of safe water for our community. Local residents own special districts and govern them through locally elected or appointed board members. Burlington Water District is a member of the Special Districts Association of Oregon.

Burlington Water District is fully committed to providing accessible facilities, elements and
channels of communication to all members of the public. As part of this commitment, Burlington Water District
has a policy of providing an accessible website compatible with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1) and
commercial screen reading software. All features of the website are coded to allow individuals with vision and
other impairments to understand and use the website to the same degree as someone without disabilities. We welcome
